Tampa Bay Watch Visits Senior Residents at Sunset Oaks Apartments
By Nick Fokianos, SPHA Director of Communications
ST. PETERSBURG, FL (FEBRUARY 6, 2025) - The St. Petersburg Housing Authority (SPHA) was delighted when Tampa Bay Watch visited our senior residents at Sunset Oaks Apartments on February 4, 2025.
Tampa Bay Watch is dedicated to fostering a healthy Tampa Bay watershed through community-driven restoration projects, education programs, and outreach initiatives.
During the visit, the Tampa Bay Watch Discovery Center team educated our residents about various vertebrate and invertebrate animals. Residents even got to touch a starfish! We learned that starfish are marine invertebrates, meaning they have no backbone.
SPHA extends its thanks to Tampa Bay Watch for sharing their knowledge and creating such a fun and interactive learning experience!
