Natoya partnered with the St. Jude Great Commission Community Development Corporation (CDC) program to build her brand-new home.
St. Jude Great Commission CDC aims to help people improve their economic circumstances by working in partnership with others to build affordable homes and help families realize their dream of homeownership.
Reflecting on her journey through the home buying process and the support she received from the FSS program, Natoya shared, "This has been a long and hard process. I had to face issues with having to change mortgage companies in the middle of the build, as well as delays in the build and closing processes. This has definitely taught me to be more patient but to also be more determined in my goals. While in the FSS program, I have successfully completed my AA degree, as well as obtained certifications in EKG/Telemetry and Phlebotomy. My next journey is to become an RN. The key to this entire process has been my perseverance to keep pushing through and trust the process even when it seems it won't happen. Staying focused despite it all is how I was able to obtain our forever home."
SPHA is proud of Natoya's achievements and remains committed to supporting the aspirations of our FSS participants.
