In a heartwarming dedication ceremony on May 20th, led by Mike Sutton, President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties, our FSS participant celebrated the culmination of years of hard work and dedication. Accompanied by her three children, she proudly accepted the keys to her new home.

Having applied to Habitat in August of 2022, our FSS participant embarked on a two-year journey filled with perseverance and resilience. Since being accepted in April 2023, she dedicated the past 12 months to completing 36 homebuyer education classes, covering financial education and empowerment, home maintenance, fire safety, and how to be a good neighbor. She completed almost 400 hours of service!

The home was purchased by our FSS participant through a 0% interest loan.

During the dedication ceremony, our FSS participant shared her hopes that she taught her kids they can achieve good things through hard work, dedication, and discipline.

Additionally, Kids Pedal Power generously donated three bikes to her children, further adding to the joy of this special day!

The St. Petersburg Housing Authority is honored to have Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties as a valued community partner. Today's dedication ceremony marked Habitat's 893rd home in the Pinellas and Pasco region.
