By Nick Fokianos, SPHA Director of Communications
ST. PETERSBURG, FL - The St. Petersburg Housing Authority (SPHA) was pleased to host the latest installment of "Coffee & Conversations" at Sunset Oaks Apartments on April 2nd. This event brought together senior residents for a morning of socialization and coffee, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie.
The highlight of the event was the engaging hands-on marine life educational experience provided by the Tampa Bay Watch team. Seniors had the chance to learn about marine animals and even had the unique opportunity to see some up close, much to their delight.
In addition to the marine life activities, Empath Health Suncoast PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) joined the event to provide valuable education on maintaining independence at home for seniors. This informative session offered insights and tips for seniors looking to age in place comfortably.
SPHA extends its sincere thanks to the Tampa Bay Watch team and Empath Health Suncoast PACE for their support and participation in making this event a success!
