St. Petersburg Housing Authority Welcomes New Director of Communications
ST. PETERSBURG, FL (JULY 13, 2023) - The St. Petersburg Housing Authority (SPHA) is pleased to announce the recent hire of Nick Fokianos as its new Director of Communications. With a diverse communications background and insight as a local resident, Fokianos brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role.
SPHA President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Lundy expressed enthusiasm for Fokianos joining the team, stating, "We are delighted to welcome Nick Fokianos as our new Director of Communications. We are confident that his dedication, expertise, and passion for effective communication will strengthen our ability to share our mission effectively, and we look forward to Nick's contributions in advancing SPHA's goal of creating opportunities for stronger communities."
Fokianos, a proud alumnus of the University of Tampa, holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication. He began his professional journey working in news, honing his skills at prominent news stations such as WTSP in St. Petersburg, WINK News in Fort Myers, and WOFL in Orlando. These formative experiences provided him with a strong foundation in effective storytelling and strategic communication.
Transitioning his career path, Fokianos ventured into the field of marketing, where he applied his talents at the Home Shopping Network in St. Petersburg, international law firm Foley & Lardner LLP in Tampa, and an amusement rides and attractions company in St. Petersburg. Through these diverse roles, he has demonstrated his ability to craft compelling narratives and engage audiences through various communication channels.
A long-time resident of St. Petersburg, Fokianos is a devoted husband and father to two children.
