- What is the Affordable Housing program?
SPHA’s Affordable Housing program operates without any federal funding and offers no rental subsidies. In this housing program, the developments are owned by SPHA or our non-profit arm, RISE Development Corporation. While residents do not receive housing subsidies, rents are affordably priced and applicants are subject to income restrictions. SPHA’s Affordable Housing program is a great low-cost option for individuals and families looking for reasonable rents at well-kept properties.
- What is the most I can earn and still be eligible to live in an Affordable Housing property?
Residents can earn up to 120 percent of Area Median Income. See the Maximum Qualifying Income Limits HERE.
Rent is due on the first of each month. If your rent payment is not received by the fifth of the month, a late fee will be added to the resident’s account.
- To pay rent, you can set up a direct deposit with the Property Management Office to have your rent automatically deducted from your bank account each month.
- You also may deliver your rent payment to Financial Management and Compliance Center (FMCC), 908 Cleveland Street, Clearwater, FL 33755, during business hours only, or mail it to the FMCC at P.O. Box 14807, Clearwater, FL 33766.
