Welcome to the St. Petersburg Housing Authority (SPHA)’s Web site!
Hello
and welcome to the St. Petersburg Housing Authority website. My name is
Darrell Irions and I am proud to serve as the Chief Executive Officer
of SPHA.
This site provides you with
an introduction to our agency. SPHA is a proud community partner with a
70‐year history of developing and administering affordable housing
programs in the city of St. Petersburg. Currently, SPHA serves more
than 3,400 families.
Nationally
recognized as a leader and innovator in the field of affordable
housing, SPHA is proud to be rated by the U.S. Department of Housing
and Urban Development (HUD) as a “High Performing” agency and to be a
recipient of HUD’s “Best Practices” awards. Also, the National
Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) recognized
the SPHA with several national agency awards of merit.
Through
our programs and services, SPHA help residents obtain financial
stability, prepare for homeownership and break free from government
assistance. Through this Web site, we invite you to learn more about
what the housing authority has to offer, including information for
landlords, job openings and agency solicitations.
